Mac's Place

This restaurant, now defunct, is south of Columbia, SC, a few miles -- maybe 20 miles or so. Photos were taken with my Mamiya C220 twin-lens camera, one with the 80mm lens and the other with a 135mm lens.

Jessica and Beastie

My wife Jessica is a huge fan of Mardi Gras, particularly the Mobile, Ala., version, which is far more family friendly than the New Orleans iteration. This is her with one of the sea serpents that are part of her family's chosen "krewe": The Crewe of Columbus.

We went to Mardi Gras in Mobile this spring, in late February, to attend the Crewe's ball and go to a few parades. I'll put more photos from that event on this site soon.

somewhere in Arizona, south of Prescott

This photo is from, as the title says, somewhere south of Prescott and north of Yuma in Arizona, on my way from my brother-in-law Mark's place up to My Buddy Bradley's place in late summer 2006. It was about 115 degrees that day.

I love old motels. This one didn't appear to be open for business. In any event, the barbed wire would have made it difficult to approach.

The camera is an old Zeiss Ikon 6x9 cm. that belonged to my great grandfather.
